How we work

A Flying Start Nursery offers a flexible arrangement for times when the unexpected happens.  After agreeing the core hours which you require your child to attend the nursery; should you require ‘extra’ sessions to cover the unexpected, and if the space is available, the nursery will be pleased to offer additional sessions.  Fees and full terms are explained a little further on.

We work to and above the minimum ratio numbers which are:

• 6 months – 2 years = 1 staff to 3 children
• 2 – 3 years = 1 staff to 4 children
• 3 – 5 years = 1 staff to 8 children

A Flying Start Nursery works with the Early Years Foundation Stage which encourages children to explore, develop and integrate in a calm environment, to learn the most they can and achieve the highest possible standard.

A Flying Start Nursery asks Parents to supply the children’s Lunches and Tea. We supply all snacks and drinks.  We encourage healthy eating and a wide range of snacks are available including milk and dairy products. PLEASE NOTE WE ARE A NUT FREE AND SHELL FISH FREE ENVIRONMENT.
